Replaced by 8 stories of housing, Fritto Misto Moving to 6th and SM Blvd

A Santa Monica tradition, Fritto Misto has been serving pasta since the 70's

Italian restaurant Fritto Misto will move into the spot formerly taken by celebrity cook Nyesha Arrington's Native, reports LA Eater. https://la.eater.com/2019/9/30/20891633/santa-monica-italian-restaurant-fritto-misto-relocate-nyesha-arrington-native

One of the oldest restaurants in Santa Monica, Misto will be replaced by eight stories of 2 bedroom "Affordable Housing" units no one will be able to afford. No seriously, the 2 bedrooms will go for $5000 a month.

Located now just north of the Expo Line train, the site was no longer very easy to drive to, or to park at. A Santa Monica tradition, Fritto Misto has been serving pasta since the 1970's.

"Fritto Misto’s soon-to-be former building received approval from Santa Monica’s Planning Commission two weeks ago, but demolition has not begun. So for now, Fritto Misto remains open. But once the eight floors are complete, the building will include a new cafe, though its occupant has not been announced," says LA Eater.
