Cycle Bar in Culver City has taken extreme measures to continue classes during the most recent County of Los Angeles health closures.
Steph Sklar-Mulcahy told Inside Edition that moving outside is the only way she can keep her business alive. "We're about 60% regulars right now," Sklar-Mulcahy said. "It's actually pretty awesome. People saw that we're doing this outside and they're coming out for the first time."
"People need to continue to exercise to stay healthy, even during the virus shutdowns. I think it's a good thing," a client of the Cycle Bar told our reporter.
So how does the gym plan to continue purveying its services to the public, during the Covid-19 era that has changed everything about how we live?
According to the company's website, the Cycle Bar has reduced studio class size to guarantee a minimum of 6 feet "social distance" between members during class.
Clients are also expected to "affirm at time of booking, that you are in good health and have not been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19."
Cycle Bar also offers contactless checking through a kiosk that allows check in with you own personal device.
"For your safety, our CycleStars Instructors will coach you on your form using verbal cues and demonstration, instead of using any hands on corrections."

"To ensure your safety, we will be limiting our equipment for class, and will refrain from use of the arm bars. To ensure the safety of all staff members and participants, outside equipment will not be allowed in the studio. Towels and water bottles are permitted."
"Classes will be spaced 30 minutes apart to allow for deep studio and equipment sanitization," says the Cycle Bar website.
