Elon Musk: Former Twitter Employees Who Offered to Sell Verifications For $15,000 Should Be Investigated.

"An investigation is needed," he continued. "Yep," tweeted Elon Musk, in a one word reply.

11.6.22. One Twitter user tweeted that some Twitter employees have been selling verification for $15,000 per account. Presumably he means former employees who have since been terminated. "For certain accounts, mine include, they would refuse to verify you through the normal standard application and then privately offer to verify you for $$ behind the scenes," he wrote.

"An investigation is needed," he continued. "Yep," tweeted Elon Musk, in a one word reply.

The account holder is @WSBChairman, but it isn't clear what his true identity is. He has around 900,000 followers.

"In another tweet, Elon Musk just announced that you can purchase a blue checkmark on Twitter for $8.The woke journalists are throwing a tantrum because they can no longer act superior to us peasants," he also tweeted.

To this day, the Santa Monica Observer Newspaper does not have verification on its Twitter account. We have applied for it no less than 6 times, but Twitter always denied our application. Most recently the reason was "lack of noteworthiness."

Two more changes to Twitter that new CEO Musk plans to institute: "Twitter will soon add ability to attach long-form text to tweets, ending absurdity of notepad screenshots," he wrote. And also this: "Followed by creator monetization for all forms of content."

The latter change suggested account holders will be able to make money by posting on Twitter.
