The 20th Anniversary Chrysalis Butterfly Ball. "Changing Lives Through Jobs"

On Saturday evening, October 1, the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball honored its landmark 20th anniversary `under the stars at a private estate in Mandeville Canyon.

The event, hosted by actor and comedian Donald Faison, honored film producer and justice advocate Scott Budnick, Chrysalis supporters and event hosts Susan Harris and Hayward J. Kaiser and National Health Foundation guest services associate Mia Rogers.

The Butterfly Ball, since 2002 has raised over 18 million in support of Chrysalis's services--providing life changing tools, jobs, support and resources to people our neighborhoods through- out Southern California.

The goal of Chrysalis is to eliminate homelessness and poverty via helping clients prepare for a job, find ONE, and then help them keep it and advance in the quality of their daily life.

Event co-chair Rebecca Gayheart-Dane attended the event with her daughter Billie, and was acknowledged during the evening for founding the Butterfly Ball 20 years ago.

The 600+ person crowd enjoyed a live auction and was treated to a sensational performance by the iconic alternative rock band, Grouplove!

Chrysalis has raised over $20 million to help end and prevent homelessness. Community support enables Chrysalis to maintain its commitment of changing, and the quality of lives through jobs. Over 3,000 people will be helped by the support of the Board of directors, staff, and volunteers

It was a fabulous evening with a full course gourmet dinner, open bar, outstanding musical performance, bright stars in the sky, and surrounded by good people who help make this world a better place to live for everyone.
