Actress Ashley Tisdale Hosts Successful Opening Night Premiere Party for l LA Art Show 2023

On Wednesday evening February 22, 2023 Ashley Tisdale hosted the Opening Night Premiere Party, raising funds for St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

St Jude Children's Research Hospital, which specializes in research and treatment of children with cancer has been the show's charitable partner for the past nine years, who receives 15% of all ticket proceeds.

St Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded by Danny Thomas opened its doors on February 4, 1962.

The LA Art Show's 28th edition is the largest and longest-running art fair in Los Angeles, returned to the Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall, 1201 Figueroa St., Los Angeles, 90015 on February 15 through 19, 2023.

The LA Art Show 2023 was produced and guided by its director Kassandra Voyagis, kicking off Los Angele's art season, uniting galleries, collectors, curators and celebrities.

There were over 60,000 attendees, with over 120 galleries, exhibiting painting, works on paper, sculpture , photography, installation, video, design , and live performances. This year's attendance was 35% higher attendance than last year's show.

The European Pavilion returned, along with an increased appearance from Asia as well as 15 galleries from South Korea and a launch of the Japanese Pavilion.

Iconic Artist Robert Vargas created a live powerful mural painting, as part of the series. The sacRED Project "Protect The Life Givers", was on view throughout and is the third mural in a three-city- series- Albuquerque, New York City and now Los Angeles- addressing the rampant and sweeping Murders and Missing Indigenous Women ( #MMIW movement).

DIVERSEartLA, was curated by Marisa Caichiolo, inspired curiosity and dialogue through art, featuring 9 interdisciplinary projects investigating the climate crisis.

A few LA Art Show 2023 highlights included Markowicz Fine Art showcased the exciting artist Carole Feuerman's hyper-realistic sculpture of a cute swimmer "Bibi on the Ball". I enjoyed watching people reactions to this well done and unique sculpture.

Beautiful artwork by actor Val Kilmer at Fabrik Projects showcased paintings from his works which he investigates American mythic archetypes and icons.

The amazing artist MARK's "GEGENSTROMXXL, at Licht Feld Gallery showed a woman trapped in a box filled with water, searching for a way out, while ostensibly remaining unaffected and relaxed about her hopeless situation. This was an extraordinary and brilliant video sculpture!

The LA Art Show 2023 presented their inaugural Museum Acquisition Award, chosen by Spain's La Neomudejar Museum, to artist Hogan Brown at Arcadia Contemporary, who will now be part of the Museum's permanent collection
