Bobcats are larger than housecats, but smaller than mountain lions or cougars.

Hunter Payne posted a photo of a bobcat in Santa Monica on Mesa Rd, saying it was take on 3/23/23.

"That is a healthy-looking cat! And he/she is keeping herself well-fed. Thanks for a great photo." posted Jessie Horsting in response.

"Amazing coloring. I hope she survives and does not eat any poison or poisoned prey. God bless this creature," posted Brad Hill.

Bobcats are larger than housecats, but smaller than mountain lions or cougars. "The bobcat (Lynx rufus), also known as the red lynx, is a medium-sized cat native to North America," says Wikipedia.

"It ranges from southern Canada through most of the contiguous United States to Oaxaca in Mexico. It is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List since 2002, due to its wide distribution and large population. Although it has been hunted extensively both for sport and fur, populations have proven stable, though declining in some areas."
