An Evacuation Order remains in effect for all areas of Santa Monica north of San Vicente
1.10.25: The City of Santa Monica has lifted its evacuation order for all areas of Santa Monica South of San Vicente Blvd. It also lifted the Evacuation Warning for Montana Avenue South to Wilshire Blvd. The message from the City reads
An Evacuation Order remains in effect for all areas of Santa Monica north of San Vicente. Residents should continue to stay out of the area, which remains closed to public access and residential reentry.
All areas of Santa Monica between San Vicente Boulevard and Montana Avenue are now under an Evacuation Warning. Residents can repopulate this area but should still be prepared to leave if needed. Those who require additional time to evacuate should consider staying away. The Evacuation Warning between Montana Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard has been lifted.
The warnings and orders had been a response to the Pacific Palisades Fire, which destroyed 5000 homes and killed at least 11 people from Tuesday January 7 to January 10th.
