    We have actually reacted to the emergency declaration a year ago with three new initiatives since I became Mayor. 1. Pathway home. 2. The community health (psychiatric) van, and 3. The Step Court. I am very proud of making real strides against the plague of homelessness in our city.     With shouts of "19" echoing across the stage, the Santa Monica High School Class of 2019 flipped their tassels from right to left and exuberantly took their final steps as high school students.     Update 6/28: Last night, the City Council voted 7-0 to move forward with a temporary field at the Civic Center, at an estimated cost of $8.6 million, and work with the various constituents to address their parking needs.
