Out of all the major league baseball players on teams throughout the land the MVPs have been chosen and they both play in Southern California. If you're a baseball fan here you can join me in congratulating Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers and Mike Trout of the Angels. Neither one was able to lead their team to much playoff success in the 2014 season, but their individual accomplishments could not be questioned in the regular season, and these awards are based on regular season play, not the...

  • Kings Rally To Defeat Ducks

The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks "faced-off" in the always much-anticipated "Freeway" rivalry at Staples Center on Saturday. The Ducks were playing without an injured Corey Perry, one of their premiere players and also missing was a retired Teemu Selanne. The game took on a strange feel without Selanne out there on the ice. He was such a force for many years and one of the greatest poster-boys that the NHL ever had. • MOVIE REVIEW: THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1

    debbie lynn elias|Nov 17, 2014

The game is afoot with THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1, but it's no longer being played as a game within the confines of an electronically controlled and domed "arena". With the release of Katniss Everdeen's arrow as her final move in the "Catching Fire" Quarter Quell, all bets are off. The games are no longer "games" with a single victor (or victors, as in the case of Katniss and Peeta). The game is now very real and must be played by every single citizen in Panem if the now obviously evil...
