"Another woman's beauty doesn't make your beauty fade, and I wish more people would understand that and be confident."

Alena Yildiz, a German model based in Heidelberg has posted to Tik Tok that she was disinvited to a friends wedding after planning to attend the wedding, wearing a dress that was too revealing for the bride.
"This is not in keeping with the standards that I posted for the wedding," the bride told Yildiz in a personal phone call. She told Yildiz that she would no longer be on the guest list.
She had posted photos of the well, somewhat revealing gown to social media. They had caught the bride's attention, and probably the groom's as well.
"Another woman's beauty doesn't make your beauty fade, and I wish more people would understand that and be confident," Yildiz says in the TikTok video, which has north of 10,000,000 views. And of course, this is absolutely true.
The bottom line: Don't ever upstage the Bride, if you want to be welcome to her wedding. Upstaging the bride, intentionally or otherwise, is considered when all of the guests attention is not on the bride. This is usually because of choice of outfit, either by wearing white/ivory, showing too much cleavage, or being far more formal than other guests. This from http://www.myidealwedding.co.uk
What is the definition of upstaging? We checked Merriam Webster's dictionary: transitive verb. 1 : to draw attention away from upstaging the competition. 2 : to force (an actor) to face away from the audience by staying upstage.
