11.22.22: A young woman riding an electric scooter was hit early Tuesday afternoon by a vehicle crossing into the bike lane. The vehicle continued and did not stop after the collision. She was transported to Santa Monica UCLA Medical center with unknown injuries. She was receiving Basic Life Support (BLS).
Police interviewed witness after the accident.
Separately, a driver sheared off a fireplug on Santa Monica Blvd and Franklin late Tuesday afternoon. Fire fighters secured the plug from leaking water. No one was cited so far in either incident.
