Shooter Who Killed 18 at a Bar and Bowling Alley, Found Dead at Recycling Center Where He Worked

Robert Card, 40, had been the subject of a 6 day manhunt after shooting and killing 18 and wounding 30 Wednesday.

Like the coward he was, Robert Card took the easy way out: He shot himself. Multiple let law enforcement sources told ABC News and other main stream media that they had found Card, 40, after an extensive manhunt. Card had spent two weeks this summer in a mental institution after threatening to shoot up a National Guard base where he had worked as a firearms instructor. His cousin reports that he is schizophrenic.

On Friday, night, he committed the biggest mass shooting in years, first at a bar in Lewiston Maine. Then at a bowling alley called Sparetime. He shot a 14 year old boy and his father, and a 76 year old man and his son. Four of his victims were members of the deaf community. 3 of the wounded remain in critical condition.

Robert Card, the Maine shooter, has been found dead by law enforcement, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found in the woods near Lisbon, 8 miles from Lewiston.
