He was taken into custody without incident on day 14 of the manhunt after evading hundreds of law enforcement personnel for nearly two weeks.     In a press conference at 11:15 pm Saturday night, LASD Sheriff Robert Luna said that a 30 year old Sheriff's deputy was murdered in uniform and in his car. The murder took place on Sierra Highway in Palmdale, at approximately 6 pm PST. Luna said he believed the murder was a targeted act. He said there might be a security camera footage of the shooting.
