An outside fire occurred late afternoon Monday, the Santa Monica Fire Department reported on Twitter. SMFD quickly extinguished the fire, before it could harm anyone or cause extensive damage. The properties had a few scorch marks on outer walls, and an extension over the residential property where some fencing was damaged. No buildings were damaged however. 14: A stabbing reportedly occurred Thursday evening at about 9:40 PM on Santa Monica's Ocean Front Walk and Bicknell. A suspect is in police custody. “He encountered a male on a bicycle and stabbed him for no apparent reason,” wrote the SMPD. Two victims were transported to UCLA Medical Center. A memo has been sent to SMMUSD staff, Dr. Drati was appointed as the superintendent for Bellflower School District on 11/17/22. He is expected to be in that office in January.
