Despite the earthquakes, Santa Monica conducted its annual parade on Thursday July 4, 2019. It lasted from 9:30 to 11 am. The 6.4 Richter scale temblor occurred at 10:19 am. A power outage, or series of outages, caused the evacuation of terminals beginning on Wednesday at 6:20 pm. 310 Southwest flights were cancelled Wednesday night.
